THE PRESS
The first newspaper ever published in the county was the Audubon County Pioneer, which was commenced at Audubon City in December, 1860, and continued three months by John C. Brown, who was subsequently Captain Company I, Iowa Infantry Volunteers, and was killed at Milliken's Bend. "A. T.
