The Columbian Club was organized October 12, 1892 to assist the State of Iowa in making "a credible display" for the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago.

Columbian Club Cookbook. Page 397 is a reprint of the original cover of the 1898 cookbook, followed by a full-page advertisement for The Commercial Bank of Leet & Co. and a 2 page history of the Columbian Club, and then a complete reprint of the 1898 cookbook.
The Columbian Club Cookbook was published in Audubon, Iowa in 1898, compiled and edited by Mrs. R. M. Carpenter and Mrs. B. S. Phelps. A complete name index from the 1898 cookbook will be added in the future.
