Lansing funeral procession, undated
This funeral procession down Main Street in Lansing, probably taken the the late 19th century, was no doubt for someone of local importance. The photo looks east from the corner of Main and North Fourth streets. The "A. Beck and J. Muellers Wagon Buggy Plow Factory" building on the right is now the home of River Lanes, while the sign extending over the sidewalk from the building at left is for the "Germania House," a boarding house at the time.

Birds-eye view of part of Lansing. The house with the
little white X (left side of picture) was the home of my great
grandparents, Curtis and Virginia Lenz.
This house overlooked the park that was once where the High
School is now.
