Mary Zoll, (widow of Joseph Zoll, Sr.
deceased,) aged eighty years, of the City of Lansing,
County of Allamakee and State of Iowa, being of sound
mind and disposing memory, do make, publish and
declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby
revoking all prior wills and testaments at any time
heretofore made by me.
1st. It is my will that all of my just debts and
Funeral expenses be first paid out of my estate.
2nd. I give and bequeath to my son, Joseph B. Zoll,
of Lansing, Iowa, the sum of Six Hundred Dollars, and
his equal share of my residuary estate hereinafter
mentioned, and I also Give him the free use and
benefit of all of the real estate and buildings and
appurtenances thereto connected, belonging to me in
Blocks twenty-six and twenty-seven of the City of
Lansing, Iowa, for a period of three years after my
death, free from any and all charges, except that he
is to pay the taxes and insurance thereon during the
said three years.
3rd. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Sister M.
Nothburga, nee Mary Rosena Zoll, now being at No.
1536 Papin Street, St. Louis, Missouri, the sum of
Four Hundred Fifty Dollars, and her share in my
residuary estate hereinafter mentioned, heretofore
having given her the sum of One Hundred Fifty
Dollars.
4th. I give and bequeath to my son, John Zoll, of
French Creek, Allamakee County, Iowa, the sum of Six
Hundred Dollars, and his share in my residuary estate
hereinafter mentioned.
5th. I give and bequeath to my son, William Zoll, of
French Creek, Allamakee County, Iowa, the sum of Six
Hundred dollars and his share in my residuary estate
hereinafter mentioned.
6th. I give and bequeath to my son, Alexander Zoll,
whose post office address is No. 2061 Thirty-eighth
Street, Chicago, Illinois, six hundred dollars and
his share of my residuary estate.
7th. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Frances
Hess, of Lansing, Iowa the sum of Six Hundred
Dollars, and her share of my residuary estate.
8th. I give and bequest to Rev. G. L. Haxmeier, of
the City of Lansing, Iowa, the sum of Fifty Dollars,
for his services in saying holy masses for the happy
repose of the souls of my departed husband and
myself.
9th. All the rest, residue and remainder of my
estate, real, personal and mixed, of which I may die
seized and possessed, or to which I may be entitled
at law or in equity, as well in possession as in
expectancy, I
give, devise and bequeath to my children, Joseph B.
Zoll, Sister M. Nothburga, nee Mary Rosena Zoll, John
Zoll, William Zoll, Alexander Zoll, and Frances Hess,
to have and to hold to them and their heirs and
assigns absolutely and forever, share and share
alike.
10th. I hereby constitute my son, Joseph B. Zoll, and
my daughter, Francis Hess, executor and executrix of
this my last will and testament, hereby exonerating
them from giving bonds for the faithful discharge of
their duties as such; and I hereby authorize and
empower them to sell and dispose of any and all of my
personal property and real estate at such time or
times and in such manner as they deem fit so to do,
subject
to the use hereinbefore set out in subdivision 2nd of
this will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this
12 day of November, A. D. 1904.

The foregoing last will and testament consisting of
two sheets of typewriting paper was in our presence
signed by Mary Zoll, and was by her declared to us to
be her las will and testament, and at her request
and in her presence and in the presence of each other
each of us signed our names as witnesses thereto.
