I, Frederick Stock, widower, residing in Ludlow
township, Allamakee County, State of Iowa, a farmer
by occupation, being of mature years and of sound
mind and memory do hereby make, declare and publish
this instrument as and for my Last Will and
testament. That is to say, I hereby will and bequeath
all of the property, real, personal and mixed of
which I may die, seized or possessed in the following
manner, namely:
First: It is my will and I direct that all of my
lawful debts including the expenses of my last
sickness be paid out of my estate and also my funeral
expenses shall be paid in the same manner.
Second: I will and bequeath to my son, Charles Stock,
subject to the payment of four thousand ($4000.00)
dollars, as hereinafter provided the following
described real estate situated in Allamakee County,
State of Iowa, to wit; the North half of the
Southwest quarter and also the North half of the
Southwest quarter of the Southwest quarter, all in
section No. Fifteen (15), Township No. Ninety Seven
(97) North of Range Six (6) West of the Fifth
principal meridian containing one hundred (100) acres
by the government survey be the same more or less:
He, my said son, Charles Stock to become the absolute
owner of said real estate subject to the payment of
four thousand ($4000.00) dollars into the hands of my
executors within one (1) year after my death: which
said four thousand dollars shall be used by my
Executors to pay the bequests which I shall
hereinafter make to my Eight (8) daughters namely:
Lizzie Kruger, nee Stock; Minnie Grotegut, nee Stock;
Mathilda Hermeier, nee Stock; Sophia Kugel, nee
Stock; Mary Pausch, nee Stock; Lena Dravis, nee
Stock; Martha Pausch, nee Stock; Lydia Adams, nee
Stock.
Third: I will and bequeath to my Son, Edward Stock,
subject to the payment of the sum of three thousand
and five hundred ($3500.00) dollars, the following
described real estate situated in Allamakee county,
State of Iowa, to wit: the South half of the
southwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section
No. Fifteen (15); and also the East Half of the
southeast quarter of Section No. Sixteen (16), all in
Township No. Ninety seven (97), North of range Six
(6) West of the Fifth Principal meridian containing
one hundred acres by the Government Survey, be the
same more or less; the said one hundred acres herein
described to become absolute property of my said son,
Edward Stock, at my death, subject to the payment of
the said sum of three thousand and five hundred
($3500.00) into the hands of my Executors within one
year from the time of my death. The said three
thousand and five hundred dollars thus to be paid by
my said son, Edward Stock, to my executors, as
aforesaid shall be considered by them, as a part of
my estate and distributed to my children with the
balance of my estate as hereinafter provided and
directed.
Fourth: I hereby will and bequeath unto my eight (8)
daughters whose names I have mentioned in the Second
division of this will the sum of five hundred
($500.00) dollars each, making four thousand
($4000.00) dollars, in the aggregate to be payable to
them by my executors within one year after my death;
the said five hundred dollars to be paid to each of
my eight (8) daughters, by my Executors out of the
four thousand dollars to be paid by my said son,
Charles Stock, as provided in the second paragraph,
or division of this will, my will and intention being
that my said eight daughters shall each receive the
five hundred dollars herein bequeathed to each of
them before the residue or remainder of my property,
as hereinafter willed and bequeathed shall be
distributed.
Fifth: After satisfying all of the foregoing bequests
I will and bequeath all of the balance residue and
remainder of all my property, real, personal, and
mixed of which I may die, seized or possessed to all
of my thirteen (13) children, namely: John Stock;
Lizzie Kruger, nee Stock; Minnie Grotegut, nee Stock;
Mathilda Hermeier, nee Stock; Sophia Kugel, nee
Stock; Mary Pausch, nee Stock; Lena Dravis, nee
Stock; Martha Pausch, nee Stock; Lydia Adams, nee
Stock; Frederick Stock; William Stock; Charles Stock
and Edward Stock, they my said thirteen (13) children
to share and share alike therein and become the
absolute owners there of.
Sixth: I hereby appoint, as my executors of this will
two of my sons, John and Frederick Stock, and
instruct them to settle and distribute my estate as
provided in this will and I here provide that they
may perform all required duties, as my executors
without bond.
Seventh: I again declare this instrument to be my
last will and testament hereby revoking all other and
former wills at any time heretofore made by me; and
in evidence of the execution of this will I hereunto
subscribe my name at Waukon in Allamakee county,
State of Iowa on this 24th day of October, in the
year of our Lord one thousand, nine hundred and five.

The foregoing instrument was at the date thereof
signed by the testator, Frederick Stock, in my
presence and declared by him in our hearing to be his
last will and testament. And we by his request, in
his presence and in the presence of each other
hereunto subscribe our respective names, as witnesses
to the execution of the same at Waukon in Allamakee
County, Iowa on this 24th day of October 1905.
