Louis Fritz - Will
I Louis Fritz widower, residing in
the township of Makee Allamakee County state of Iowa
being of sound and disposing mind do hereby
make,declare and publish this instrument as and for
my last will and testament; that is to say I hereby
will all of the property of which I may die seized
and possessed in the following manner namely:
First, I will and bequeath to my son Jacob Fritz,the
sum of Five Hundred Dollars which said sum shall be
paid to him, by my executor, within One year after my
death.
Second, I will and bequeath to Fred Heckman: Bertha
Heckman: William Heckman: Otto Heckman: and Amel
Heckman the Five children of my deceased daughter,
the sum of Five Hundred Dollars in the aggregate:
that is to say the sum of One Hundred Dollars each
which said sum of One Hundred Dollars shall be paid
to each, within One year after my death.
Third, I will and bequeath to Bertha and Walter
Fritz, children of my son, William E. Fritz, the sum
of Fifty Dollars each; which said sum of Fifty
Dollars shall be paid to each or to their legally
appointed guardian
within One year after my death.
Fourth, I will and bequeath the entire estate of son
Louis E. Fritz deceased, inherited by me his only
heir at law to my son, Conrad Fritz; except the
moneys and credits belonging to said estate.
Fifth, I will and bequeath all of the balance,residue
and remainder of my property to my son, Conrad Fritz,
and William E. Fritz, they Two to share and share
alike therein and become the absolute owners thereof.
Sixth, I hereby appoint my son William E.
Fritz,executor of this will and instruct him to
settle and distribute my estate as herein provided.
Seventh, I again declare this instrument to be my
last will and testament,hereby revoking all other and
former wills at any time heretofore made by me,In
evidence of the execution of this will I have
hereunto subscribed my name at my residence in Makee
Township, County of Allamakee and State of Iowa on
this 20th day of February in the year of our Lord One
Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Seven.

The foregoing instrument was at the date thereov
Signed by the testator, Louis Fritz, in our presence
and declared by him in our hearing to be his last
will and testament; and we by his request, in his
presence and in the presence of each other hereunto
subscribe our respective names as witnesses to the
execution of the same at his residence at Makee
township Allamakee County Iowa on this 20th day Of
February 1897

In District Court of Iowa in and for Allamakee
County. I, Ellison Orr, Clerk of the aforesaid Court
do hereby certify that on the 18th day of September,
A.D.1901, the foregoing instrument was by the said
Court duly allowed and admitted to probate as the
last will and testament of Louis Fritz, deceased,
late of aforesaid County and State, its execution as
such being at that time duly proven according to law.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the Seal of the said Court this 17th day of
September, A.D.1901
