TO THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE COUNTY OF ALLAMAKEE,
STATE OF IOWA:
The petition of John M. Fritz of the Twp. of Makee in
the County of Allamakee respectfully showeth: That
Jacob Fritz of the Twp of French Creek in the said
County of Allamakee died in the said Twp of French
Creek on, or about the 12 day of March in the year of
our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and ninetynine.
That at the time of his death he was an inhabitant of
the county of Allamakee that he left no will, as far
as your petitioner has heard, or been able to
discover. That he left surviving him his brother this
pettitioner (sic) and Wm E. Fritz, Jacob Fritz &
Conrad Fritz, his nephews: his heirs at law.
And your petitioner further showeth that all the
goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased do
not exceed in value the sum of Three Hundred DOLLARS
and your petitioner prays that Letters of
Administration of the goods, chattels and credits of
the said deceased may be granted by the said Court to
John Fritz Jr.
