I, Jeptha Beebe being a farmer by occupation and
until recently having resided upon my farm in
Jefferson township, Allamakee county, state of Iowa,
being about seventy five years of age and of sound
and disposing mind and memory hereby make publish and
declare this as and for my last will and testament
hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time
made.
First. I hereby direct all of my just debts expenses
of last sickness and funeral expenses be paid soon as
practicable.
Second. To my beloved wife, Mary Beebe, I give and
devise her legal distributive share as fixed by the
laws of the state of Iowa.
Third. To my Son, Leon E. Beebe, I give and bequeath
the sum of one thousand dollars, to my Son, Henry H.
Beebe, I give and bequeath the sum of five hundred
dollars and to my daughter, Edna A. Rumph, I give and
bequeath five hundred dollars.
Fourth. I desire to say by way of explanation that I
have given to my Son, William Beebe at various times
within last twenty years more than his share in my
estate will amount to and more than any of my other
children will receive except perhaps the three named
heretofore that by reason of my having helped my son,
William Beebe as fully as heretofore stated I hereby
expressly direct that my son, William Beebe shall
have no share in my estate either in real, personal
or mixed property.
Fifth. All of the residue and remainder of my
property left after the payments of my debts and the
legal distributive share to my wife, Mary Beebe and
the payment of the two thousand dollars bequests to
my son, Leon E. Beebe and my son, Henry H. Beebe and
Edna Rumph as directed in the third paragraph of this
will, which payments are to be made first after which
I direct that all of my real personal or mixed
property shall be equally divided among my five
children, Henry H. Beebe, Leon E. Beebe, Laura M.
Barham, Edith Stock and Edna A. Rumph, each to share
and share alike.
Sixth. I hereby direct that in case any of my
children should make any objections to the probate of
this my last will and testament or cause any trouble
in the settlement of my estate as directed in this
will then such child or children shall be absolutely
stopped and forever barred from claiming or in any
manner participating in any share of my estate and I
hereby expressly direct that in case any child or
children shall make any trouble such share or shares
shall go to such child or children that do not make
any trouble in the settlement of my estate as
directed in this will.
Seventh. I hereby nominate and appoint my son, Henry
H. Beebe the sole executor of this my last will and
testament and expressly direct that he be not
required to give and bond.
Lastly, I hereby make publish and declare this as and
for my last will and testament at Waukon, Iowa, May
16th, A.D. 1904.

The forgoing instrument consisting of two sheets of
paper was signed in our presence by Jeptha Beebe who
declared the same to be his last will and testament
and requested us to sign the same as witnesses
thereto which we have done in his presence and in the
presence of each other.
