| FAIRCHILD - WESTBEY | At the Southern Hotel, Cedar Rapids, May 15th, 1883, by Rev. HOOD, Mr. J.R. FAIRCHILD, of Postville to Mrs. J.E. WESTBEY of Danville, Ill. The newly married couple arrived here on the noon B.C.R. & N. train. They commence housekeeping in Ed. EATON's house, next door west of J.N. LEITHOLD's residence as soon as sufficiently repaired. We are unacquainted with the bride and hence cannot say much regarding her; but she is the lady of Mr. FAIRCHILD's choice and we are assured that she will make him a good wife. We believe Mr. FAIRCHILD has not resided in Postville more than 10 months. | FANGMEIER - FRENCH | At the home of the bride's uncle, H.H. GUY, in Britt, Iowa, at four o'clock in the afternoon of Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1908, occurred the marriage of Miss Cora N. FRENCH, of Coggon, Iowa, to Mr. John FANGMEIER of this city. After the ceremony the happy couple left by train for Waverly, Iowa, for a brief visit at the home of the groom's sister, Mrs. Charles MEYER. The groom is one of Postville's best known young men. He is the soul of good nature, affable and agreeable-to-a-fault, honest, industrious and of good habits. He is at present head clerk at the Farmers' Store. The bride is a fine appearing lady, and though practically unknown to Postville people, she is vouched for by unquestioned authority as an educated and refined young lady of many excellent qualities. Mr. and Mrs. FANGMEIER returned to Postville last Saturday and have already settled down to housekeeping in the Mrs. BEEDY cottage on the north side, where the Review joins with many friends in wishing them health, happiness and prosperity. ~Postville Review, October 30, 1908 - contributed by S. | FEICKERT - MEYER | Miss Irene Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Meyer, who live notheast of Castalia, and Theodore Feickert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Feickert of Forbes, North Dakota, were married Tuesday morning at the home of the bride's parents. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F.R. Ludwig. Attendants were Leonard Meyer, brother of the bride, and Georgene Koenig, a friend of the contracting parties. The bride was attired in a chiffon wedding gown, floor length, and the bridegroom wore a suit of the conventional blue. Shortly following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to fifteen relatives and friends at the Meyer home. Table waitresses were Chrystal Koenig and Marian Dunning. Mr. Feickert has been located in this vicinity for the last five years, working on various farms. | FELLOWS - MINTEER | Lansing, Ia., Dec. 27 - Lansing friends have received announcements of the marriage of John F. Fellows, son of Mayor and Mrs. Fellows of Lansing, and Dorothy Minteer of Tulsa, Okla., on Saturday at the First Lutheran church in that city. | FELTES - TONEY | Waukon, Ia. - The marriage of Miss Lorraine Toney of Waukon and Lewis Feltes of Bellevue took place here Tuesday morning at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Ernest J. McDonald, pastor, celebrating the nuptial mass. They were attended by Lorraine (sic) and Hassal Toney, sister and brother of the bride. Following the ceremony, a dinner was served at the bride's home and in the evening a reception was held. the bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Toney, Union Prairie Township farmers. She received her education in Waukon High School and the past year was employed near Bellevue. | FIET - MOHWINKLE | Dorchester-Miss Gertia Mohwinkle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delton Mohwinkle, was married to Daniel R. Fiet of Rockford, Ill., son of Mr. and Delbert Fiet of Waukon, in a cemetery Saturday at 2 performed by the Rev. Edmund De Buhr at Mt. Hope Presbyterian church. The bride was attired in a Chantilly lace and tulle gown and a shoulder length veil held by a crown of sequins and pearls. Her flowers were pink roses. Her attendants were Mrs. Marium Gerjets of Monticello, matron of honor, and Mrs. Neil Shaffer, both sisters of the bridegroom. Gregory Mohwinkle served as best man and Neil Shaffer of Minot, N. D., was groomsman. Ushers were Ralph Mohwinkle, Calvin Shindale, and Mr. Gerjets, James Shindale was ringbearer. A reception was given in the church parlors. The newlyweds will live at Rockford on a return from a trip to Omaha. | FINK - HAERER | Mayme Haerer and Leo Fink motored to Caledonia, Minn. Saturday afternoon and at four o'clock exchanged vows before Judge Elmer Anderson. A very lovely wedding took place at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Chicago, Ill., Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11 o'clock when Miss Lorraine Virak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Selmer Virak of Westby, Wis., became the bride of Mr. Harris Fink, second son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fink of New Albin. Rev. J. Thorsen officiated at the ceremony, at which a few close friends of the bride and groom were present. Attending the bridal couple were her twin sister, Miss Lorina Virak, and Mr. Bruce Carver, a friend of the groom. The bride was attired in a white silk net gown with a finger-tip veil, and carried a bouquet of white gardenias and pompons. The bridesmaid wore a blue silk net gown, and carried a bouquet of yellow roses. The groom wore a white suit, and his attendant wore dark blue suit. A 6:30 dinner was served at the place where the bride has made her home the past year. After a brief honeymoon, the young couple will make their home in Chicago. The bride was formerly employed at the Standard Safety Equipment Co. and Mr. Fink is a machinist at Danley's Tool and Die Co., Cicero, Ill. | FITZGERALD - ASCHOM | Lansing Girl Becomes Bride of Carl Fitzgerald of New Albin - Miss Clara Aschom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hjalmer Aschom of Lansing and Carl Fitzgerald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fitzgerald of New Albin were united in marriage Monday morning at seven o‘clock at the Immaculate Conception church in Lansing. The Rev. J.L. Breitbach read the nuptial mass. The couple were attended by Miss Georgia Aschom, sister of the bride and Devan Qulllin, friend of the groom. Mrs. Fitzgerald wore a river blue gown with matching accessories. Her attendant was attired in pink with matching accessories. Both wore shoulder corsages. A wedding dinner was served to immediate relatives at the home of the bride’s parents. A reception was held that evening at the Dreamland Ballroom in New Albin in honor of the newlyweds. | FITZGERALD - MORAN | The marriage of Daniel Fitzgerald and Mrs. Emily Moran, both of this city, took place at 6:30 Wednesday morning at St. Patricks’ church, the pastor, Rev. Father Stuart officiating and celebrating nuptial mass. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard O’Brien. The bride was born and reared in this county, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Bowen, pioneer settlers in Union Prairie township. For some years she has conducted a beauty parlor in Waukon. The groom came over here from New Albin some years ago and is employed in the T. F. O’Brien & Co. hardware store. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the bride’s home, after which they left for Minneapolis for a honeymoon visit with relatives of both parties. On their return they will make their home in Waukon. | FOLEY - COTA | Harpers Ferry, Ia. - The marriage of Miss Rose Marie Cota, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wiliam Cota of Harpers Ferry, to Leo Foley, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Foley, farmers of Taylor Township, took place Thursday morning at St. Ann's church here. The ceremony was performed and the nuptial mass was celebrated by the Rev. John J. Costello, pastor. A wedding dinner was served the immediate relatives at the home of the bride's parents, and a recepton was held in the evening. Both are graduates of Harpers Ferry High School. | FOLSOM - ENYART | On Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1919, Gilbert Folsom of Post township and Miss Flossie Enyart, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wright Enyart of Makee township, met in Waukon as per agreement and called on Rev. R. L. VanNice of that city, who tied them up for life agreeably to the usual custom. These worthy young people are both well and favorably known in this locality and a host of friends will join in wishing them bon voyage on the sea of matrimony. They will settle down to housekeeping on the Carl Casten farm on Henderson Prairie, where we hope they may live long and prosper. This wedding marks the passing into wedded bliss of the last of ten children - eight boys and two girls - of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. | FREILINGER - MOORE | New Albin, Iowa - The wedding of Miss Marion Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Moore, and Matt Freilinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Freilinger of Sand Cove, occurred at St. Joseph's church at eight o'clock Tuesday morning. Rev. Father Hayes performed the ceremony. The bride wore tan lace over crepe de chine, with hat and slippers to match, and carried a bouquet of bride's roses. Della Freilinger, a sister of the bridegroom, as bridesmaid wore blue georgette. Raymond Moore, a brother of the bride, was best man. Forty guests attended the wedding at the church, as well as the dinner which followed, given at the home of the bride's parents. A reception for Mr. and Mrs. Matt Freilinger was given at Kelly's hall Tuesday evening. Dancing and refreshments completed the evening.
